Inferno Metal Festival have unveiled the full schedule and final lineup for the 2026 edition, confirming four days of extreme music across multiple venues in Oslo from April 2–5.

With the complete timetable now public, Inferno 2026 once again positions itself as one of Europe’s most authoritative extreme metal festivals. The programme spans black metal, death metal, doom, thrash and experimental extremes, combining internationally established names with underground and emerging acts.

The festival’s main stages at Rockefeller and John Dee are complemented by an extensive club programme at Vaterland, Goldie, Brewgata and Kniven, reinforcing Inferno’s long-standing commitment to both large-scale performances and intimate, scene-driven shows.

Daily headliners and highlights:

Thursday, April 2: Cult of Luna headline Rockefeller, with Incantation delivering a special "Onward to Golgotha"-based set, alongside Tormentor, Svarttjern and 1914.

Friday, April 3: Mayhem close the night, joined by The Kovenant, Der Weg einer Freiheit, Funeral and Múr.

Saturday, April 4: Enslaved headline, with Kanonenfieber, Samael, Whoredom Rife and Darvaza among the day’s key acts.

Sunday, April 5: Deicide conclude the festival, supported by Old Man’s Child, Primordial, Auðn and Mork.

Inferno 2026 also features a notable number of first-time appearances and long-awaited returns. Incantation make their Inferno debut with an exclusive European set, Tormentor perform in Oslo for the first time in their four-decade history, and Old Man’s Child finally appear at Inferno following years of anticipation.

The club programme further expands the festival’s scope, showcasing a broad cross-section of contemporary extreme music. The final announcement confirms additional performances from Vígljós, Katla, MÍO, Galge, Speedslut, Euthanasia, Villmark, Riket, Yvris, Subnoir and Mortal Fear, all scheduled for dedicated club shows throughout the weekend.

By combining genre-defining legacy acts with forward-looking new projects and underground staples, Inferno Metal Festival 2026 presents a comprehensive snapshot of the current extreme metal landscape, firmly rooted in tradition while remaining open to evolution.
