Inferno Metal Festival 2026 is marked by a series of first-time appearances, exclusive performances and long-awaited returns to Oslo.

Among the most significant moments of the 2026 edition is Incantation’s first-ever appearance at Inferno Metal Festival. The American death metal pioneers will perform a special set centred on their 1992 debut "Onward to Golgotha", a performance confirmed as their only European presentation of this material in 2026.

Hungarian legends Tormentor will also make their first appearance in Oslo, four decades into their career. Their long-overdue debut in the Norwegian capital adds historical weight to Thursday’s programme at Rockefeller.

Sunday’s headliner Deicide return to Inferno for the first time since 2013, marking a rare Oslo appearance for one of death metal’s most enduring forces. The same night also sees Old Man’s Child finally take the Inferno stage, following years of anticipation and the project’s recent return to live activity.

Additional first-time Norwegian appearances include Perchta, Nite, Forsmán and Zatokrev, each bringing distinct interpretations of black, heavy and atmospheric metal.
