Tom Morello & Thomas Raggi Perform “Killing In The Name” Live | Pulse Records News

Guitar icon Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine made a surprise appearance on December 3rd at the legendary Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, California, joining Thomas Raggi of Måneskin onstage. The event marked the launch celebration for Raggi’s debut solo album "MASQUERADE". To close the set, Morello, Raggi, and a group of musicians performed a powerful instrumental version of the protest anthem "Killing In The Name" — a nod to one of the most iconic political rock songs ever recorded.

Tom Morello contributed directly to the creation of "MASQUERADE", both as a producer and as a featured guest on the track "KEEP THE PACK", which also includes former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum. Fan-filmed footage of the collaboration has already surfaced online. This is not the first time Morello and Raggi have worked together — the two previously joined forces on the gold-certified hit "Gossip" by Måneskin. Other notable guests at the release event included Luke Spiller and UPSAHL.

Born in Rome, Thomas Raggi is not only the guitarist but also one of the founding members of Måneskin, forming the band with bassist Victoria De Angelis before vocalist Damiano David and drummer Ethan Torchio later joined. A lifelong musician, Raggi began with classical guitar before transitioning to electric, influenced heavily by Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin. In various interviews, he has stressed that while he left school due to overwhelming commitments, it was never due to a lack of passion or discipline — music has been his sole dedication since childhood.

His early sacrifices have undeniably paid off. With Måneskin, Raggi placed second in the 2017 edition of X Factor, then skyrocketed to international fame after winning both Sanremo and the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021 with the explosive hit "Zitti e buoni". The band’s early albums "Il ballo della vita" and "Teatro d’ira – Volume 1" solidified their global breakthrough and established Raggi as one of the most charismatic young guitarists in modern rock.
