Sturmes Reigen 2026 Reveals First Eleven Bands | Pure Underground Black Metal Rituals

Sturmes Reigen 2026 — Underground Black Metal Gathering Expands Line-Up With Eleven Hordes (More To Come)

The flame of the underground burns brighter for 2026: Sturmes Reigen, the annual dark-arts gathering curated by Kombinat Schwarz Metall in cooperation with Sol Records, returns with a devastating first wave of band announcements. A roster spanning Europe and beyond is preparing to deliver two nights of uncompromising black metal ritualism — raw, atmospheric and free from modern spectacle.

A Line-Up Rooted in Depth, Heritage and Obscurity

This year’s first revelations read like a pilgrimage through the deeper veins of black metal:

Arjen (Bosnia & Herzegovina) — Bleak, esoteric black metal with a harsh Balkan spirit. Their releases drip with cold melody, hostility and mysticism; one of the most underrated entities from their region.
Nefandus (Sweden) — Long-standing occultists active since the mid-90s. Expect ritualistic black metal forged in the classic Swedish tradition: sinister, commanding, and deeply ceremonial.
Prosternatur (International) — A chimeric force merging black metal, chaos, and ritual ambience. Their work feels like a multi-continental invocation: dense, terrifying and deliberately disorienting.
Ebony Pendant (USA) — One of the strongest recent US raw black metal acts. Cold, melancholic, piercing and dripping with traditional spirit; highly respected within the USBM underground.
Marras (Finland) — Atmospheric yet fierce. Marras channel northern melancholy — sharp tremolo fires, icy emotional weight and hypnotic riffs shaped by Finland’s unmistakable melodic character.
Omegaeternum (France) — Dark, mid-tempo-driven black metal with a haunting, doom-stained edge. Atmospheric, heavy, obscure.
Oerheks (Belgium) — A phenomenon in modern atmospheric black metal. Their long-form, woodland-inspired compositions are meditative, immersive and deeply rooted in folklore.
Nagyszeben (Spain) — Raw, melancholic, and steeped in ancient Carpathian sorrow despite being Iberian. A truly unique blend of Slavic-inspired atmosphere.
Sulphuric Night (Bosnia & Herzegovina) — One of the fiercest raw BM forces of the Balkans. Blazing fast, violent, uncompromising — a gem for fans of primal intensity.
Kôr (Germany) — Myth-soaked black metal with folk undertones, connected to the Shores of Ladon circle. Epic, atmospheric and fiercely rooted in northern mysticism.
Vivus Humare (Germany) — Massive, winding black metal with long-form structures and emotional depth; a cornerstone act of the German underground for more than a decade.

And as always with Sturmes Reigen: four more hordes will be revealed — promising an even darker plunge into obscurity.
