Brazilian punk legends RATOS DE PORÃO have been officially confirmed for the 2026 edition of VAGOS METAL FEST, joining one of the strongest and most diverse festival lineups Portugal has seen in years. The announcement arrived as a “last-minute Christmas gift,” as the festival organizers put it, proving that some news simply cannot wait. With over four decades of uncompromising fury, social awareness, and crossover aggression, RATOS DE PORÃO return to Vagos ready to tear the ground apart.

Taking place from August 5th to 9th, 2026, at Quinta do Ega in Vagos, the upcoming edition of VAGOS METAL FEST already stands as one of the most ambitious yet. Spanning five days, the lineup brings together giants from multiple corners of metal and punk, bridging generations, styles, and scenes. From extreme metal pioneers to iconic heavy hitters, the festival promises a full-spectrum assault—an experience built for the most dedicated metal fanatics.

This year’s roster is nothing short of massive. The opening day features LAMB OF GOD and hardcore trailblazers CRO-MAGS, while Thursday unleashes Norwegian black metal institution SATYRICON alongside heavy metal icon DORO performing a special WARLOCK set. Friday raises the stakes with Dutch symphonic titans WITHIN TEMPTATION and Floridian death metal legends DEICIDE, flanked by the ever-explosive THUNDERMOTHER and Portugal’s own HOLOCAUSTO CANIBAL. Saturday brings American arena heavyweights GODSMACK and the folk-infused storm of KORPIKLAANI, joined by Portuguese cult favorites FILII NIGRANTIUM INFERNALIUM. On Sunday, the festival closes with a devastating one-two punch: Swedish melodeath institution IN FLAMES and German metalcore juggernauts HEAVEN SHALL BURN, alongside industrial veterans COMBICHRIST and technical death masters CRYPTOPSY.
