Nocturnal Entity Reveals New Spell From “Bloedmaan” | Ritual Black Metal Ascends

Dutch ritualistic black-metal force Nocturnal Entity continues its slow incantation toward a new full-length, unveiling another spell from the upcoming opus under the banner "Bloedmaan". This new glimpse further deepens the project’s evolution into something colder, more ceremonial, and more suffocating than anything released in their earlier era. The atmosphere is dense, hypnotic, and drenched in a lunar presence that hints strongly at the album’s overarching theme.

The new track builds on a foundation of repetitive, trance-like riffing, moving through phases of tension and shadowed melody. Nocturnal Entity leans fully into a minimalist but spiritually charged approach: slow-burning tremolo waves, echoing chants, and percussive patterns that feel more like ritual cadence than traditional drumming. The production remains deliberately raw, yet there’s a newfound clarity in the layers — a ghostly openness that seems crafted specifically for nocturnal listening.

Lyrically and thematically, the "Bloedmaan" material appears focused on transformation through lunar darkness — cycles of decay, blood rites beneath eclipsed skies, and the shifting boundaries between physical and spiritual forms. Fans of the Dutch and Flemish black-metal underground will recognize the unmistakable atmosphere: bleak, isolated, and steeped in occult symbolism. With each new fragment revealed, it becomes clear that this coming album is shaping up to be Nocturnal Entity’s most mature and focused expression.

Here at Pulse Records, we’re always drawn to acts that pursue atmosphere above trend, and Nocturnal Entity continue to carve deeper into their own obsidian path. If this new spell is any indication, the full "Bloedmaan" offering will stand as a significant highlight in next year’s black-metal landscape. As soon as preorder details and formats emerge, expect updates — we’ll be watching the moon with anticipation.
