MMOA 2026 Adds Five New Bands: The Haunted, Crematory, Gwydion, Ethereal & Death & Legacy

Milagre Metaleiro Open Air 2026 keeps leveling up — the festival just announced five new bands, adding even more strength and variety to a lineup that’s already shaping up to be one of the biggest editions in its history. If this year’s goal is pure intensity across every corner of metal, they’re absolutely on track.

Leading the newest announcement are the Swedish death/thrash masters The Haunted, guaranteed to bring raw speed, heavy grooves and pit-starting aggression to Pindelo dos Milagres. Joining them are Germany’s gothic metal veterans Crematory, whose dark atmospheres, dramatic keyboards and dual-vocal style make them a perfect festival highlight when night falls.

Representing the Portuguese scene, Gwydion return with their unmistakable epic folk metal — chants, battle energy and big melodies ready to raise fists and drinking horns. Also confirmed are Ethereal, delivering atmospheric progressive gothic/doom with emotional weight and cinematic depth. Completing the new wave are Death & Legacy from Spain, blending heavy metal, melodic death metal and modern dynamics in a way that has been gaining serious traction.

With this new wave locked in, here is the updated list of bands already confirmed for MMOA 2026:

Previously Announced:
• Paradise Lost
• Primal Fear
• Serious Black
• Dallian
• Girish And The Chronicles

New Confirmations:

Combining gothic atmosphere, thrash aggression, folk anthems, doom emotion and classic heavy metal power, MMOA 2026 is building into a true metal pilgrimage — three days of variety, intensity and nothing but real metal under the Portuguese summer sky.
