Malevolent Creation Reconfirm Deron Miller + Reveal Plans for 14th Album “Return Fire”
Malevolent Creation are back in beast mode. Today they announced the return of vocalist/guitarist Deron Miller, restoring the band to a full five-piece lineup — and promising fresh blood for their next chapter.
According to the official statement, the new roster now features Miller on vocals/guitar, Jesse Jolly on bass and backing vocals, Chris Cannella on guitar, Ronnie Parmer on drums, and founding guitarist Phil Fasciana. The band says that with three guitars, they’ll finally be able to pull off “three-part guitar harmonies” and dust off older material that hasn’t been played in years.
Work on their 14th studio album — tentatively titled "Return Fire" — begins in January, while live action is sidelined for 2026 (at least for now). The focus is clear: write heavy, sharp, classic death-metal again, and deliver an album that honours the band’s legacy while challenging themselves with renewed energy.
For fans of the old-school Floridian death-metal sound, this feels like more than a lineup change — it’s a statement. Malevolent Creation have always walked the line between brutality and groove, and with Miller back behind the mic and guitars, the promise of heavier riffs, tighter arrangements and darker atmosphere makes this one of the most anticipated comebacks in brutal metal for 2026.
