Anthrax Complete Mixing on New 2025 Album — Thrash Legends Return
After nine long years of silence, Anthrax have finally completed the mixing of their long-awaited new album — the official follow-up to 2016’s "For All Kings". Thrash fans, it’s happening: the new era is now locked in at Dave Grohl’s legendary Studio 606 in California.
The update came straight from drummer Charlie Benante, who shared a behind-the-scenes studio photo confirming that the band wrapped the final mix with producer Jay Ruston, the same hand responsible for "Worship Music" and "For All Kings". Benante even revealed the tongue-in-cheek working title — “hey, go fu** yourself” — describing the record as a “very New York album,” the kind you blast while grabbing a slice and walking the streets of the Big Apple. Pure Anthrax attitude.
No official release date is out yet, but insiders and band comments hint at a first single dropping before the end of 2025, with the full album and worldwide touring plans locked for 2026. It’s been a long wait, but the Thrash Big Four legends sound more fired up than ever.
Here at Pulse Records, we’re already buzzing — a fresh Anthrax album is a full-on metal event, and we’ll be grabbing every format once preorders hit: vinyl, digipacks, deluxe editions, and whatever else the band throws our way. Sharpen your neck muscles — thrash season is back.
